Free Organ Concert Every Monday Night in San Diego

Come check out the weekly FREE concert at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in San Diego during the summer. There is a concert at the Organ Pavilion every Monday night at 7:30 p.m. through August 31.  Also, dogs are allowed, and during one of the flute pieces we had a canine contribution. It was just one well-placed “woof” which fell at exactly the right spot in the music. I wasn’t expecting to hear a duet with flute and dog, but I have to say we all thought it was great.
Attending an Organ Concert

The Spreckels Organ is located in the heart of San Diego’s Balboa Park. Click here to see a map.

Concerts are held every Sunday at 2 p.m. (for one hour) and on Monday evenings in summer (7:30 to 9:30 p.m.). No tickets are issued to concerts, because all concerts are free and open to the public.    Seating is outdoors in the Organ Pavilion, on metal benches that seat up to 2,500 people. Blankets, seat cushions, shade hats, or sun umbrellas can enhance your concert experience. While the Pavilion fills to capacity for Monday evening concerts in summer, you will find ample room to sit at any Sunday concert.     Music-loving pets are welcome, and so are picnics.

Parking is located immediately south of the Organ Pavilion, further south near the Hall of Champions, or across Park Boulevard at Inspiration Point (served by free city tram service).     You can also attend our concerts virtually via our webcast, which streams every Sunday concert in real time.
